Meet Ashley! Born and raised in the Annapolis Valley, Ashley went on to study biology at Acadia University. In 2015, she graduated with her diploma of Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University where she practiced for 2 years in the HRM before moving to Toronto. While the big city had its perks, it wasn’t home, and she found herself moving back to NS in 2021. In her spare time Ashley enjoys catching up on reality tv, fitness and spending time with friends and family – especially her dog, Stevie. As your dental hygienist Ashley aims to educate patients on their oral health and provide them with tips and tools to achieve optimal oral health! She can’t wait to meet you and your smile!

Originally from a small fishing community in N.S, moved to Halifax shortly after high school. She graduated from NSCC as a Dental Assistant in 2002 and been Dr Livingstone’s assistant for many years.

She particularly enjoys working with our paediatric patients.
Being a single parent as well as other life experiences lead her to what her interests are in life. She is an advocate for those struggling with mental illness needing guidance and is supportive of local programs like those provided through Pathways and Chebucto Connections, local non-for-profit organizations that help young children and family’s in need.
Rita has 2 grown children and a supportive spouse who share the love of her favorite things such as fishing, boat rides, campfires, and good music. As well she is a seasonal camper.
