Dr. Livingstone began practicing in Spryfield in June 2007 after graduating from Dalhousie Dental School that same year; after completing an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from St. FX in 2003. Originally from NS, she now resides locally.
Dr. MacDonald graduated from Dalhousie Dental dental school in 2009 after completing an BSc.(hons) and MSc. in Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Western Ontario and Dalhousie University respectively. Dr. MacDonald grew up just outside Halifax and loves spending time outdoors with his family. He is passionate about dentistry, with a special focus on digital dentistry, spending much of his time learning the latest technology to better deliver care to his patients.
Meet Kathy! Hi! I was born in Sarnia, Ontario and graduated from hygiene in 1978 at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario.
Having studied many programs and obtained my license for hygiene in Nova Scotia, I am up to date on current protocols.
I enjoy hiking, gardening and walking my daughter's corgis and of course the ocean!
I like to relate to patients needs and concern's and make them laugh! I look forward to meeting you someday.
Meet Ashley! Born and raised in the Annapolis Valley, Ashley went on to study biology at Acadia University. In 2015, she graduated with her diploma of Dental Hygiene from Dalhousie University where she practiced for 2 years in the HRM before moving to Toronto. While the big city had its perks, it wasn’t home, and she found herself moving back to NS in 2021. In her spare time Ashley enjoys catching up on reality tv, fitness and spending time with friends and family - especially her dog, Stevie. As your dental hygienist Ashley aims to educate patients on their oral health and provide them with tips and tools to achieve optimal oral health! She can't wait to meet you and your smile!
Devika moved from Dubai to Halifax in 2007 to pursue her post secondary education. She graduated from Dalhousie University with her Bachelor of Science and Dental Hygiene Diploma in 2013. Devika loves to spend time with her family which includes her three cats. When the weather is nice, she loves to spend her time hiking, going to the beach and gardening.
Meet Anne. She graduated from Dalhousie school of dental Hygiene in 1999 and has been with Herring Cove Dental since 2018. With over 20 years experience, she prides herself on thorough hygiene care while making her patients comfortable and at ease. Originally from PEI, she now makes her home in Spryfield with her son Colin and fur babies. She enjoys gardening and curling in her spare time. She looks forward to helping her clients achieve their healthy smiles everyday!
Originally from a small fishing community in N.S, moved to Halifax shortly after high school. She graduated from NSCC as a Dental Assistant in 2002 and been Dr Livingstone’s assistant for many years.
Over the years she has obtained a level a knowledge and understanding that has helped her develop strategies to comfort patients during their dental appointments; whether with a soft voice, holding a hand or breathing through difficult moments. She particularly enjoys working with our paediatric patients.
Being a single parent as well as other life experiences lead her to what her interests are in life. She is an advocate for those struggling with mental illness needing guidance and is supportive of local programs like those provided through Pathways and Chebucto Connections, local non-for-profit organizations that help young children and family's in need.
Rita has 2 grown children and a supportive spouse who share the love of her favorite things such as fishing, boat rides, campfires, and good music. As well she is a seasonal camper. She is an East Coaster at heart and embraces all our seasons with Spring and Fall being her favorites. She loves career and looks forward to seeing all our patients, old and new daily.
Meet Jen! She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She has been a dental assistant since 2005. She has been with Herring Cove Dental since retiring from the military as a Dental Tech in 2016. Aside from being a Dental Assistant and a full-time mom of two, she also owns a busy woodworking/resin-art business which reflects on her passion for living on the ocean through her beach themed art. Jennifer loves anything outdoors and likes being physically active which includes running after her two little kids. She enjoys helping patients to feel comfortable coming to the dental office and to feel happy/regain their confidence about their smile and overall dental health.
Meet Chantal! She was born and raised in Halifax. She graduated from Dental Assisting at NSCC in 2015. Outside of work she is an avid foodie and enjoys spending her downtime outside and going to the beach with her dog Eugene. She enjoys helping her patients improve their oral health to boost their self confidence.
Gina graduated from NSCC in 1997 and has been actively employed in the dental field for 25 years. After spending 22yrs working on the opposite side of the harbour I decided to return to my own community of Spryfield where I was born and raised to continue doing what I love. Making my patients feel comfortable and gaining their trust all while educating them is my top priority. If you leave feeling less anxious than when you arrived for your appointment I have done my job♡ Outside of work I love spending time with my two beautiful daughters and husband. I enjoy being in the outdoors especially by the ocean♡ I also enjoy volunteer work and giving back to my community. Myself and my daughters have volunteered at different shelters, either preparing food, serving food or providing them with items in need♡ I really look forward to seeing you soon, to ease your worries and provide you with the most optimal oral health care!
Eleanor is from the Annapolis Valley, and attended Nova Scotia Community College for Office Administration, graduating with her certificate in 2016. At the clinic, she has been working as a receptionist since February of 2021. There, she can be found answering phone calls, responding to emails and greeting patients in person with enthusiasm and care. In her spare time, she is most often hanging out with her partner, Chris, and their two cats, Sulley and The Kitten. She enjoys playing board games and D&D with her friends on the weekends, and is also an avid PC gamer with a small collection of retro video games and consoles.”
